Requirements

To be eligible for your Instrument Rating, you must be a currently rated Private Pilot and have 50 hours of logged cross-country flight time. Some of this time can be logged during your Instrument training. At some point during your training, prior to taking your final flight exam, you must score 70 percent or better on the 60-question multiple-choice Instrument Pilot written test administered by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). You must also have a current Medical Certificate.

Once you obtain your Instrument Rating, you'll be a safer, more competent pilot. Unexpected clouds will become less daunting and you'll enjoy flying more -- even in VFR!

It's what you've been waiting for. So start today and reward yourself with the freedom that you deserve!
