FAA SAFETY SEMINAR

TARGETS In the Sky!
Thursday August 18th from 7pm – 9pm Red Baron will be co-sponsoring the following seminar.  It will be held at Red Baron not the visitor center.  The speaker for the seminar is Bob Crystal CFIAIM, ATP CE-500/525/560XL.

FAA Safety Seminar Thursday October 21, 2010

“Say Again…”

Red Baron flight instructor Steve Boothby CFII, MEI lead a discussion on confusing or often misunderstood ATC instructions.   KSBA’s Air Traffic Controller Mark Tellier joined us at the seminar to answer questions that came up regarding ATC instructions.  This was a very informative seminar that student pilot’s will benefit from as well as seasoned pilots enjoyed.  If you missed it you can view the presentation: [Say Again (pdf)]

Tower Tours

Red Baron has two tower tours setup for our students and friends.  To be able to take the tour you have to be a US Citizen and have a drivers license or passport.  The tours are limited to 10 people each including an instructor with each group.  The first tour is on November 9th 2010 starting at 10am.  We will meet at Red Baron at 9:45am and walk over together.  The second tour is on November 10th at 1pm. … (read more)

Halloween Monster Mash!

Red Baron  hosted a Halloween Monster Mash costume party on October 31, 2010.   The costumes were great!  Picking the winners was not easy but three were chosen and gift cards awarded.
The winners were from left to right, John Quick or Cournel Quick as he liked to be referred to, Steve Boothby or the Scottsman, and Paul Bowen as Indiana Jones.
