Upcoming Catalina Fly-in

June Gloom: VFR Flight into IMC

On June 17, 2010,  one of Red Baron’s Flight Instructors  conducted a FAA Safety Seminar on CFIT (Controlled Flight into Terrain) and Flight into IMC.  Flight into IMC is a very real possibility this time of year in the Santa Barbara area. The Marine Layer is with us almost daily for the months of May, June and July. International Learn to Fly Day

Saturday May 15th was International Learn to Fly Day.  Red Baron Aviation participated by offering,  FREE Discovery Flights, a FREE BBQ,  displaying our aircraft, demos of the Cessna training system, Frasca simulator demos, door prizes and a raffle.
The raffle was for a Cessna Private Pilot kit a $375 value and $500 in free lessons. We also gave away 2 – 1/2 flights in our Super Decathlon airplane!
