Levi Maaia newest Instrument Rated Pilot!

On September 20, 201 Levi Maaia passed his instrument checkride.  He did an outstanding job on the oral but was challenged when they tried to do the practical.  The radar was down on Oxnard and there was fog up north.  Once again the amazing Air Traffic Controllers at Santa Barbara helped  Levi make this happen.  They volunteered to give him the approaches that he needed to demonstrate.  Levi is starting his commercial rating next week.

Taylor Nancarrow Private Pilot

The weather for Taylor’s checkride on August 19,2010 was a beautiful sunny day with not a bump in the sky and light winds.  Doesn’t get any better than that!  Taylor is the third generation of Nancarrow pilots who all learned to fly in Santa Barbara.

Len Homeniuk First Solo

Congratulations to Len Homeniuk on his first solo on July 1st.  Despite jumping through hoops for ATC -  making 360′s and 270′s – his communication and pilot skills were spot-on.  He is well on his way to joining the Royal Canadian Air Force.
